Webquizes

Results for webquizes.
You have still a little time to do round 1 extra, but if you fail, you must still give the seminar presentation.

Note: You have to be registered to the course lectures via webtopi to be able to answer to the quizes.

Webquizes will be opened on fridays after the relevant lectures. You have two weeks to complete each week's quizes. Each quiz round will be closed at midday (12 am). By selecting the quiz from the drop-down box and by clicking "go", you will get a link to the quiz via e-mail. Note that each check-box corresponds to one point. This means that for true-false questions there will be two points obtainable: one from each box.

There is a separate quiz regarding each lecture. However, we will launch the quizzes for a week in one patch.

You have three (3) attempts for each of these lecture specific quizzes (which yields a maximum of 6-12 attempts for each round depending on the number of quizzes in the round). Only the best attempt for each lecture quiz will be graded. You have to get about 85% of points with your best attempt to pass that quiz. You must pass all quizzes in each round (usually 2-4 quizzes per round). You have to get all of the questions right with your best attempt to gain extra points to the exam from that lecture quiz. These extra points will of course be scaled to yield about 2-3 actual exam points at most.

You may fail at most one lecture quiz. If you fail two, you must attend to the extra round that will be opened at the end of the course. If you fail two or more lecture quizzes even after the extra round you are not allowed to attend the exam. However, in such a case you can redeem yourself by giving a seminar talk on the lecture material for the failed quizzes.

The quizzes will be opened in a weekly patch just like before. The difference is that you will know the lecture that should contain the answers to the quiz. This way the context for the quiz questions is known. This should eliminate the unnecessary guesswork that we saw during the first weekly round.

Since we also experienced several technical problems, there will be an additional extra round regarding the first quiz round. We will announce a list of those who passed the first round when the round is closed.

Some notes:
1. Once you start the quiz, you must complete it without closing the browser.
2. Don't click 'back' 'refresh' or any other button in the browser while doing the quiz.
3. Avoid doing stuff that will likely cause your browser to crash (platform specific).
4. Don't use Internet Explorer in the quizes (Firefox is guaranteed to work).

Student number Quiz
NB: If in a Quiz you see a statement or definition that is sometimes right but can be wrong some other times or is inaccurate in some way, you must answer “No”. The purpose is to stress that the definitions of terms must be accurate – otherwise programming anything is impossible!

NB2: If you can point two or more errors in the quiz questions, you will get a bonus point to the exam!

Webquiz score ordering:

You can get your quiz points to your e-mail by filling the form below and specifying for which quiz you want to have your points.

Student number Quiz
Scoring is given in percentages, so score of 0.50 means that half of the questions were right, and 1.00 means that you got full points.
