COURSE REQUIREMENTS
0. General instructions
- Language of the reports is Finnish, Swedish or English.
- The labs are done in groups of two persons.
- The course should be finished within the fourth (IV/2008) study period.
- When you write reports you are not supposed to copy the text directly eg. from the background material or other
sources, but rather write it in your own words. It is also encouraged to use more than one source.
- In case of fraud the following rules will be applied.
The final grade of the course
- The works have the same emphasis, except the grade for the work 27-IPv4 Routing which is emphasized with 2.
In the case you choose to do three labs (2 ECTS) the total grade of the course is calculated:
(2xgrade(IPv4)+1xgrade(Security)+1xgrade(WLAN))/4
The total grade of each lab work is composed as follows:
- The grade of the preliminary report +
- The grade of the final report -
- Working in the laboratory e.g. if you exceed the time reserved for the lab or/and need to reserve a new time that will lower your grade
or if the assistant has to help you considerably in your lab performance that will lower your grade.

1. Preliminary report for every assignment (1/group)
- The questions can be found in the material.
- The title page of the preliminary reports should look like this (in English) and like
this (in Finnish). This means that the title page should be identical with the model, TKK logo and the text
in the same place, the font is Arial etc.
- The preliminary report should be returned through the reservation system (in pdf -form) at least three days before the
laboratory assignment.
- As you write your report, you MUST ALWAYS include the REFERENCE where you got the material.
- You should prepare yourself well for each laboratory work. Read the work instructions and do the preparation
