It is not recommended to keep your lab files (reports, measurements etc.) on your web pages. Some people might just copy them and miss the learning process.

Report of lab work 27- IPv4 Routing has to be written using the report model. It is also compulsory lab work for all students.

Before coming to the laboratory it is highly recommended that you study the preliminary material and possible background material carefully!!! It saves your lab time.

27-IPv4-RoutingA test network will be configured by using RIP and OSPF. Tests will be made on how fast the network will become stable after some links have been cut off. RIP and OSPF are also compared with each other. FOR ALL
Use REPORT model.

31-Multicast Routing I (IPv4)A network is established with XORP (eXtensible Open Router Platform) routers to analyze traffic information while PIM-SM (Independent Multicast- Sparse Mode) protocol is running. At first routers are configured as they are using static RP (Rendezvous Point). Then those with Bootstrap Router mechanism are configured. In order to test that the multicast delivery is working, conference software called Robust Audio Tool (RAT) will be used.

33-DNSA new domain is created with three name servers. First a normal domain with a sub domain is configured. Then some SSL features of name servers are used. Finally an interface of private and public network is configured with a name server which is tested with a couple of HTTP servers.

36-SECURITYNetwork scanning, vulnerabilities, hacks and cracks are studied including e.g. LINUX password cracking, search for keylogger, using a vulnerability in a certain program to gain administrator access to a remote computer etc. Measures against intruders are also studied.

37-WLANDifferent modes of WLAN communication are tested including working with security issues of WLAN communication, e.g. cracking of encryption of WLAN traffic.
