S-38.130 Licenciate course on Telecommunications Technology

Course Topic: In the Spring 1998 the course will concentrate on telecommunications service architectures. The exact scope of the course depends on the number of participants in the course.

Status of the course: Licentiate course on Telecommunications Technology can be included in post-graduate studies on Telecommunications Technology (major or minor in S38). The credits can also be included in graduate studies on telecommunications technology.

To whom: The course is primarily meant for post-graduate students of telecommunications technology having a special intrest in understanding the new service architectures of telecommunication technology.

Course completion: The course will be arranged as a seminar. Each participant will give a presentation on his/her subject from the material.

The presentations need to be in the form of a properly written article. Each presenter has to also prepare good enough overhead material to support his/her presentation, which he/she can then distribute at the presentation. The presentations will be written preferably in Finnish.

Organisation: The first meeting of the course will be held on Wednesday 28.01.1998 at 16.00 in Otaniemi, TKK, faculty of Electrical Engineering, room H401 where the seminar subjects will be dealt out. Starting on March 3rd the seminars will be held weekly on Tuesdays starting at 16.15 in room H401.

Credits: This course will give you 1-4 points depending on the final scope of the course and successful completion of course requirements. The performance will be measured in the following manner:

			Presentation and other 
			deliverables	        0.66
			Final examination	0.34
