Why enrolling is important

All students need to enroll both to the course and to the exams in time. The enrolling is done with Topi. For using Topi you need to have access to the HUT Computer system and a valid student ID number.

The course enrolling needs to be done during January 2005; after that the enrolling will be closed. Enrolling gives you the right to take part in the exams that belong to this year's course.

In addition to this you need to enroll to the exam you wish to take part in. This is also done with Topi. The exam enrolling opens usually 3-4 weeks before the exam and closes one week before the exam. This gives the course personnel time to get exam papers, translate questions to all necessary languages, book extra class rooms and supervisors etc. If you try to enroll later than this or come to the exam completely without enrolling, we cannot guarantee that there are enough papers or seats for everybody.

In Topi there are (usually) different enrolling options for different languages. If you need to have English exam questions, make sure you enroll correctly - the questions are translated only if somebody needs to have them. Remember also to show up! You may be the only person needing the translation - don't make it a waste of time.

If you need to have a translation to some other language (e.g. Swedish) send email to the course staff well before the exam.
