About CCNC Research Student Workshop

CCNC Research Student Workshop is organized by the students for the students. The venue offers a possibility for research students to present and discuss their dissertation topic in an inspiring atmosphere with their peers and experts from industry and acedemia.

The workshop is held in conjunction with IEEE CCNC 2010 conference.

Topics of Interest

The students have opportunity to present the topic of their research, progress so far, and the planned future work. Each participant should prepare a 3 page extended abstract about their research work. The topics of interes follow the research area addressed by the CCNC 2010 main conference. Thus, the student workshop calls for submissions on topics related to:
  • home networking
  • consumer networking
  • enabling technologies (e.g., middleware)
  • novel pervasive applications and services
The papers selected for presentation outline a research topic and discuss approaches to conduct research on areas that are seen challeging in consumer communications and networking, both today and in the future.

Submission and Important Dates

The format of submissions is three pages in IEEE double column style. Please adhere to template found here.

Important dates:
  • Submission deadline: September 15, 2009.
  • Notification of acceptance: October 2, 2009.
  • Camera ready submission: October 15, 2009.
Research Student workshop will be held in January 9, 2010. In the workshop each participant is expected to give a concise presentation (shorter) about the research topic, which is the followed by discussion (longer) amongst experts and the peers.
