S-38.130 Licenciate course on Telecommunications Technology

Requisites

To successfully pass the course you should:

  • Write a paper on your subject totalling in approximately 20 pages.
  • Hold a presentation (30 minutes+15 minutes for discussion)
  • Provide Professor Kantola with 5 questions answered based on your presentation. These questions will be used as basis for the examination.
  • Act as an opponent to one of the presentations. Your duty is to keep the conversation alive. The presenter will provide you with his/hers paper in advance.
1 creditPass an examination. The questions are based on papers to be announced later. The subject will relate to service architectures.

The presentation paper and the questions have to be delivered to Prof. Kantola no later that Monday before the presentation at noon. The delivery of the paper to the opponent remains to be separately negotiated between the opponent and you. You are also required to deliver your paper in electronic format: Either in Rich Text Format (rtf), Postscript (ps) or pdf. A model of the paper in rtf-format. All papers will be made available via WWW.

Both the presentation and the examination are graded in the scale 0-5.
