Tietoverkkolaboratorio
I have been managing projects called MITTA and MI2TTA from day one of these
projects. We have been concetrating on ATM and IP network traffic
management. Now we have extended our interest to the area of
intelligent routing for Internet in new project called IRoNet

- Simulation studies of IP networks
CURRENT RESEARCH TOPIC
Currently I'm working on a measurement based traffic classification
for Differentiated Services. This measurement based traffic
classification is aimed to offer quality differentiation between
applications and protocols which end user is executing. This
classification process is based on dynamic control of filtering rules
inside access router of DS-domain. We have developed some algorithms
which try to optimise the classification process by using clustering
of individual applications to few classes. Next phase of the study
will be actual implemetation as a form of research prototype.
