Brief history:

The history of the band goes back quite a while, in fact all the way back to the late 80's. We started as a typical "garage" band, except that we actually rehearsed in a bomb shelter. Our earliest musical style could be defined as hard rock with heavy influences from early 70's classic rock a la Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, as well as more recent bands bands like Van Halen. As our instrumental skills have developed, we've played music rather broadly, from Charlie Parker, jazz-fusion standards a la Chick Corea, Al Di Meola and Steve Morse, latin-rock to Black Sabbath.

Over the years the lineup of the band has remained almost unchanged, only the name has evolved from Brother Cain to Freefall to Fungus and (currently) to Noser. Olli Huhtanen (kbds, vocals), Jussi Kohonen (bass), Pasi Lassila (drms) and Miku Pesonius (gtrs) have been involved since the beginning. Janne Laine (gtrs) played with us in 1999-2000 (on Follow Me) and complemented Miku's more linear style of playing with some cool effects and nice rhythm guitar work. Our most recent recruitment has been Lasse Leskelä (kbds), who joined us in 2004 and has played a major part in redefining the overall "sound" of the band.

The musical background and influences of the members are extremely varied - actually even more than what the list of artists above suggests! Nowadays, we do not even try to characterize our music and leave the descriptive task to the listeners...
